ZIMAR

Corporate Responsibility

Capital deployed with discipline. Communities treated with respect.

The clients and investors who trust Zimar with multi-billion-dollar mandates expect more than engineering excellence. They expect a partner whose conduct — in the boardroom, on the site and in the community — they can defend without hesitation. That standard is the foundation of every contract we sign.

Our Standard

Responsibility is not a department at Zimar. It is the operating posture of the firm.

From the first feasibility study to the last day of commercial operations, Zimar projects are designed to create durable value — for the shareholder who funds them, the workforce that builds them, the regulator that licenses them and the community that hosts them. We have built our reputation on refusing to trade any of those constituencies against the others.

That discipline is why national oil companies, sovereign wealth investors, export credit agencies and tier-one commercial lenders return to Zimar across investment cycles. It is also why our projects close financing, clear permits and reach commercial operation on schedules others cannot match.

The Six Pillars

Safety & Operational Integrity

Process safety is non-negotiable. Every project Zimar delivers is engineered to OSHA, API and ISO 45001 benchmarks, audited by independent third parties before commissioning. Our cumulative LTIF across active sites sits well below industry median — a record we expect our partners to hold us to.

Environmental Stewardship

We design for the energy transition, not against it. Flare-gas recovery, sulphur recovery to 99.9%+, produced-water reuse and progressive carbon-intensity reductions are embedded into every grassroots design and revamp. Where we operate, we leave the watershed measurably better than we found it.

Local Content & Capacity Building

Zimar projects are staffed and sustained by the communities that host them. We commit, in writing, to local hiring quotas, technician training pipelines and supplier-development programmes — turning a five-year construction window into a thirty-year career economy.

Governance & Anti-Corruption

Zimar operates under a zero-tolerance anti-bribery policy aligned with the Canadian CFPOA, U.S. FCPA and UK Bribery Act. Every counterparty is screened. Every payment is traceable. Our books are open to lender and ECA due diligence on demand.

Community Investment

Schools, clinics, clean-water infrastructure and youth scholarships are funded as part of every major mandate — not as PR, but as a contractual line in our community development agreements. We measure outcomes the same way we measure throughput.

Transparency & Reporting

Zimar publishes annual ESG disclosures aligned with GRI and IFRS S2 frameworks. We disclose to clients, lenders, host governments and host communities in equal measure. What we report, we are prepared to be audited on.

People

A workforce we are accountable to.

On every Zimar project, a defined percentage of construction roles, operating positions and technical scholarships is reserved for nationals of the host country. Our training pipeline — built in partnership with technical institutes on three continents — has placed thousands of engineers, technicians and craftspeople into long-term industry careers.

Planet

Designed for the transition.

Zimar's design standards anticipate the regulatory envelope of 2040, not 2010. Carbon-intensity benchmarking, methane-loss control, renewable-feedstock co-processing and CCS-readiness are part of our engineering baseline — so the assets we deliver remain bankable and competitive across their full economic life.

Governance

A firm you can defend to your board.

Zimar's leadership operates under a published code of conduct, an independent compliance function and lender-grade financial controls. Our counterparty due-diligence, sanctions screening and beneficial-ownership disclosures meet the standards of the most demanding ECAs and tier-one international banks — the institutions that ultimately decide which projects get built.
